In a vibrant celebration of diversity and female empowerment, Organicize Your Life (OYL), led by mindset coach Navixha Bagga, recently hosted the Saree Walk 2023. This inspiring event, themed “Breaking Stereotypes,” brought together women from various backgrounds to challenge societal norms and showcase the evolving role of women in leadership.
Navixha Bagga, the driving force behind OYL, reflected on the event’s significance: “Sareewalk is about women’s inherent leadership that extends to any human being regardless of how they are judged by society for their diversity – they can be whoever they want.” Bagga’s journey from social media influencer to mindset coach exemplifies the transformative power of self-reflection and personal growth.
The event featured an impressive lineup of speakers and participants, each sharing their unique perspectives on empowerment and breaking barriers. County Commissioner Marian D. Moskowitz, guest of honor, shared her inspiring journey from single mom selling leather jackets at flea markets to her current position in government. “Women are not behind the scenes anymore, we are in front of it,” Moskowitz stated, emphasizing the importance of having a seat at the table and speaking with confidence.
The Saree Walk 2023 wasn’t just about women supporting women. Sri Ghatta, a senior director of clinical development and chapter lead of the Asha-Jyoti PA non-profit, offered a male perspective on empowerment: “As men, it’s our responsibility to create an environment to support such empowerment.”
Participants from various professional backgrounds shared their experiences and insights:
Jyoti, owner of Jo’s Bake House, emphasized the event’s theme: “It is about being independent, confident, passionate, yet grounded. Believe that you can do everything that you put your mind to.”
Jyothsna, known as Coach Jo and owner of Gifted Gabber, highlighted the importance of community: “We can’t do it alone, we need a tribe. We learn from each other and help fulfill each other’s dreams and aspirations.”
Dr. Huma Qamar, a physician and entrepreneur, stated, “This event means being comfortable in your own skin. It’s OK to be weird, it’s ok to break stereotypes, it’s Ok to break that norm.”
The Saree Walk 2023 served as a powerful reminder that empowerment comes in many forms. From entrepreneurs to artists, from HR leaders to software engineers, the event showcased the diverse talents and strengths of women in various fields.

As Navixha Bagga aptly put it, “Trust me when I say, the future of leadership begins with you. Be open, explore, and engage with the world around you, and your journey will unfold in ways you never imagined.”
The success of OYL’s Saree Walk 2023 demonstrates the power of community engagement and the importance of challenging stereotypes. It serves as an inspiring example of how local initiatives can have a profound impact, fostering a new generation of empowered leaders who are comfortable in their own skin and ready to make their mark on the world.
