Talent Academy, a premier tutoring institute in Chennai, proudly marks 25 years of excellence in education. Founded in 2000 by Srividhya Sriram, the academy has been instrumental in shaping young minds and bridging the gaps left by mainstream education. Over the years, Talent Academy has tutored more than 2,000 students, many of whom have gone on to achieve academic distinction and career success.
Reflecting on the journey, Srividhya Sriram shared, “Our mission has always been to impart special skills that are not taught in mainstream schools. We focus on providing personalized attention, which is often lacking in conventional classrooms due to high student-teacher ratios.”
The necessity for tutoring in India has grown significantly due to various challenges in the education system. According to Srividhya, a decline in skilled teachers, lack of institutional support for educators, and the overwhelming student-teacher ratio in schools have made personalized coaching an essential supplement to mainstream education. “With an average student-teacher ratio of 40:1, ensuring individual attention becomes nearly impossible. That’s where institutes like ours step in to make a difference,” she explained.
One of the academy’s biggest achievements is its impact on students who were once considered below average but later excelled academically. “There’s no greater joy than seeing a student transform, gain confidence, and perform beyond expectations,” Srividhya said. “The trust and referrals we have earned over the years stand testament to our commitment to quality education. In fact, we are now enrolling the second generation of students—children of those we tutored years ago.”
As Talent Academy enters its next phase, Srividhya remains dedicated to maintaining the highest standards of education, ensuring that every student receives the guidance and mentorship needed to succeed.
